Amy + James

We were so thrilled when one fall morning, we received an online inquiry as to our availability from Amy… She just happens to be the cousin of one of our amazingly talented cinematographers/editors, Lisa!  Amy chose both our videography and our photography services for her gorgeous wedding at Running Deer Golf Club and it was such a pleasure to be a part of her big day!

Amy and James have been together since their high school days.  They met in their senior year, went to their prom together and have been together ever since.  After five years of love and laughter, James proposed to Amy with all of her closest friends and family there to celebrate!

On the morning of her wedding day, Amy prepared at her parents’ house with family members and her bridal party lending assistance with her beautiful hair and makeup.  James got ready at his house with his groomsmen right by his side.  And check out those awesome Homer Simpson socks!  We love it when our couples choose unique and fun ways to personalize their wedding!  And we were so happy that they decided to take a moment aside during their preparations to exchange cards and read them aloud for us.  Their heartfelt sentiments were so touching, as was the wonderful framed poem Amy presented to her father.  It was so hard to keep from crying along with them!

Amy was such a gorgeous, radiant bride!  She wore a light and airy belted gown with lots of subtle ruching and sparkling spaghetti straps.  She wore a lovely headband in her braided updo and accessorized with delicate pearl jewelry.  Her final accessory was a lovely fingertip length veil which was fastened to the back of her hair before it was time for the official ceremony.

And soon it was time to head to the church.  Amy and James were married at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Williamstown, NJ in a traditional Catholic ceremony.  Well, it was mostly traditional…everyone had such a laugh when James pulled out his chapstick before the big first kiss as husband and wife!  Afterwards, the couple was treated with a bubble salute as they exited the church, ready to celebrate their new marriage at their reception.

Their photography sessions took place during their morning preparations, at the church and at their exquisite reception venue, Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove.  We loved capturing the formal photos of the bridal party, the wedding guests and of course, the couple of honor!  They were terrific to work with, and their venue provided a beautiful backdrop for their photos and video of bright rolling greens all encompassed by a thick row of evergreens.  So serene and lovely.  And Amy and James were such a photogenic couple which made it easy to get just the right shots!

Amy and James entered their reception to cheers of family and friends and kicked off the celebration with a spirited first dance together.  Later, James and his groomsmen also entertained everyone with a fun choreographed dance!  Steve & Co. did a fantastic job as always of keeping the party alive and everyone dancing on that dance floor all evening.  It was a wonderful wedding, filled with all the love and laughter for which Amy and James had wished.

Congratulations to Amy and James!  We're wishing you the happiest of all the happily ever afters!
