Brittany + Kevin

Brittany and Kevin first met as teens at a "college day" event where the students from the local all-girls and all-boys high schools visit a prep school to learn about the different college opportunities.  The two ended up in a lot of classrooms together and discovered that they had a mutual friend in common.  Kevin knew right from their first encounter that he was in love with Brittany, and even told his friend he would marry her someday!  They continued to see each other at different events and locations, with Kevin usually initiating the conversations.  But one evening when they saw each other at a bar, Brittany called Kevin over to talk.  She noticed the ring he was wearing was an Irish Claddaugh ring, and she was wearing the same one!  After finding out if he was already taken as the ring can often signify (he wasn't), they hit it off, enjoying the rest of the evening together.  By the following week, they were officially dating and sharing their first magical kiss!

The special place Kevin chose to propose to Brittany has a huge significance in their lives for several reasons.  He asked her to marry him in Disney's World's Epcot park, on the bridge right across from the Italy pavilion.  Brittany loves that scenic bridge, and the couple have a fantastic photo of the two of them on it that they treasure from a previous trip.  But also, Brittany and Kevin have always planned a special honeymoon in Italy that they'll be taking soon!

Brittany and Kevin were actually officially married before this very special day.  But this was the day to wear the beautiful white dress and to dress up in the fine suit.  It was the day to hold their wedding ceremony at their church.  And of course, it was the day to celebrate their wonderful marriage with all their family and friends!

On the morning of their wedding, Brittany and Kevin each got ready at their parents' homes, not very far from the church where their ceremony would soon take place.  The team from Nancy Caroline Beauty finished their artistry with hair and makeup and Brittany's bridal party dressed into their lovely long pink gowns.

Kevin and his groomsmen had fun hanging out together before it was time for them to get into their dark blue suits with coordinating pink neckties.  And we loved his fun aqua puppy dog socks!  A fabulous tribute to their little pup who would be joining in the day's celebrations, too!

Then it was time for Brittany to put on her beautiful wedding dress.  She wore an amazing plunging v-neckline gown from Eddy K with gorgeous glittering embroidery.  She accessorized with pearl earrings and necklace and a long, flowing veil for the ceremony.  And her beautiful ivory and pink bouquet from London Flower & Variety included a pin with photos of Brittany's beloved grandmothers.

Before the ceremony was to start, Brittany and Kevin read beautifully written love notes that they exchanged that morning.  This is always such a meaningful, sweet moment to capture and we know they'll both treasure having the first time they read their cards to re-watch and relive forever.

Brittany and Kevin's ceremony was held at St. Ephrem Parish in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.  And their marriage ceremony was made even more wonderful because Kevin's uncle, Father Vincent Guest, officiated their traditional Catholic ceremony.  We really enjoyed his personal message to Brittany and Kevin as they continue in this new chapter in their lives together.  The couple said their 'I do's', exchanged rings and were soon pronounced 'still husband and wife'!

We all had so much fun during Brittany and Kevin's photo shoots with Emily Kirsten Photography!  The formal and candid photos were taken after the ceremony at nearby Holy Ghost Preparatory School, the place where Brittany and Kevin first met, and at their reception venue.  You could see how much fun they and their wedding party all had during their shoots.  And of course, their cute pup got in on the action, too!  Check out some of the photos on her website!

Then it was time for the party to celebrate the happy couple!  Brittany and Kevin's reception kicked off at Pen Ryn Estate's newest venue, River's Edge.  This beautiful tented garden pavilion has an impressive arched ceiling, patio paver flooring and boasts amazing views of the Delaware River.   The venue was filled with floral centerpieces and décor that reflected the shades of pink in wedding theme colors.  Absolutely gorgeous!

Brittany and Kevin skipped into the room to the cheers of everyone and danced their first, very fun, dance together!  This was followed by a beautiful, very moving welcome speech and toast from Brittany's father and the blessing.  We also fell in love with the toasts given by Brittany's maid of honor and Kevin's best man and especially the recitation of the traditional Irish Blessing.  Then those touching parent dances followed.

Brittany and Kevin cut their five-tiered cake adorned with lovely pink roses from Isgro Pasticceria and the dance floor was opened to everyone.  The Exceptions were truly exceptional and kept the party rocking and everyone out on that dance floor and having fun all night!

Brittany and Kevin's wedding day was incredible and we were so happy to be able to share in their day and to celebrate with them!  Through delays and several changes in plans, the two always stayed positive, determined to make their dream wedding day come true and they succeeded without a doubt.  Their beautiful wedding event was absolutely perfect!  Congratulations to such a sweet couple, Brittany and Kevin.  We wish them all the best!

Gianna + Zack

Gianna and Zack met at the very beginning of their freshman year at West Chester University.  During the first couple weeks of school, one of Zack's friends was placed into the same dorm room as Gianna, and she was introduced to Zack through her during their orientation weekend.  After that, their relationship continued to grow as they got to know... and then fall in love with each other.

Zack's proposal to Gianna was so touching!  At the last minute one day in late September, the two decided to drive to Ocean City, NJ instead of their planned apple picking date.  As they got closer to town, Zack asked Gianna if she wanted to drive past her grandparents' former shore home.  Afterwards, as that sentimental feeling was still in the air, they parked and walked to the ocean's edge.  Zack told Gianna to walk over and put her hand in the water and when she walked back to him, he grabbed her hand and told her, through tears, how much he loved her.  Then, he got down on one knee and asked Gianna to be his wife.  She of course, said 'yes'!  Now let's fast forward to their beautiful wedding...

Yes, it did rain on this wedding day, but the rain certainly didn't put a damper on anything!  The one thing we remember most from this fabulous wedding was how genuinely happy and excited this couple was for their wedding day to be here.  There was not one thing that was going to take away the smiles on their faces or the excitement in their hearts!

On the big day, Gianna got ready for the wedding at her home while Zack relaxed and readied with his groomsmen at The Westin Mount Laurel.  Gianna's beautiful bridal party wore long white gowns and carried such lovely bouquets in ivory, with just a hint of blush, from Addie Rose Floral Events.  Zack dressed into his classic black tux with a necktie and looked ever so sharp! And check out those sports-themed argyle socks the guys all wore!

And wow, Gianna was such a stunning bride!  She wore a gorgeous Martina Liana gown with a subtle fit and flare silhouette.  It had a dramatic sweetheart neckline and was covered in lovely sequin lace.  She accessorized with her mother's delicate tennis bracelet and a beautiful, lush bouquet with its handle wrapped in part of Gianna's mother's wedding gown.  Such wonderful tributes to her mom and to her parents' wedding day.

The two decided not to have a first look, but instead to save that special moment for the altar at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Marlton, NJ.  We loved seeing how overwhelmed with emotion Zack was at the sight of his bride walking down the aisle on the arm of her father.  It was such a moving moment and one we know they'll both treasure.  Their ceremony was so beautiful, with Reverend Jorge Bedoya leading the couple in reciting their traditional vows.  At the end, they were pronounced 'husband and wife' and shared in a kiss and laughter!

Before their cocktail hour began, the couple traveled to Lakeview Memorial Park for another terrific photo shoot with All My Love Photography.  It was so wonderful to work with the team at All My Love and the couple had a blast while their photos were taken... despite the rain that continued to fall!  They were such troopers, and had so much fun the whole time! Be sure to check out some of the photos from the day on All My Love's facebook page!

Gianna and Zack then continued on to The Merion in Cinnaminson for their reception.  We absolutely love filming at The Merion and couldn't have been happier to be there celebrating with such a wonderful couple!  And the ballroom looked so glamorous, with tables overflowing with tall floral centerpieces highlighted by flickering tea lights.  We were touched again to see the cards at the place settings letting guests know that a donation to the Cathdral Kitchen was made in lieu of favors (in their grandparents’ honor as they were very involved with helping this organization).

The new Mrs. & Mrs. were introduced, then danced their sweet first dance together.  After heartfelt toasts from Gianna's father, her matron and maid of honor and from Zack's best man, the newlyweds shared dances with their parents.  They cut their beautiful (and so delicious) all-white cake from Isgro Pasticceria and Gianna tossed her bouquet, all in between high-energy dance sets brought to life by Center Stage Entertainment! All their friends and family had so much fun as they celebrated the enduring love and life that Gianna and Zack will share together.

As Gianna remarked later, this wedding was such a dream!  It was for Gianna, Zack and their families, but also it was a dream for us. It was so wonderful to work with such a sweet, thoughtful, easy-going and simply happy couple!  We wish them love, success and all the happiness in the world!

Maria + Gregory

Maria and Greg met online and definitely hit it off right away!  Their first date actually lasted eleven hours and involved lots and lots of talking to get to know each other.  We're firm believers that when you know, you just know!

Greg's proposal came as a complete surprise to Maria.  He works most evenings, so Maria planned a nice evening out with the girls one night.  Well, about an hour into the evening, Greg called to tell her that he was coming home soon because he hurt his back at work.  He would need help from her with taking off his work boots.  So Maria, disheartened, left her friend's house and came home.  Inside her house, Greg had prepared rose petals on the floor in the shape of a heart, with tea candles outlining the petals.  In the middle stood Greg with a ring box in his hand.  Behind him were silver balloons that spelled out, 'MARRY ME?' and he had one of her favorite songs playing ('Holy' by Florida Georgia Line) as he asked Maria to be his wife.  A professional photographer was there to capture the moment for them forever as Maria said 'yes'!  She then changed because Greg told her they would meet her sister and brother-in-law out for a quiet dinner, but instead Greg had planned a huge engagement party at her sister's house and even flew her best friend in from out of state for the surprise!  As Maria noted for us, 'He did great!!'.

More celebratory silver balloons were present on their fabulous spring wedding day, as 'I Do' shaped balloons were tied to the lamp post at Maria's parents' home, the place where she would be getting ready for the big day.  La Bella Sposa expertly applied Maria's makeup while she remained in her pretty floral robe and the gorgeous, bright floral bouquets arrived for the large bridal party.  Afterwards, Maria took a few quiet moments to read a wonderful card filled with a beautiful, heartfelt message from Greg.  In it, Greg tells Maria that he is lucky and so blessed that they found each other and how excited he is for the day's events.  Meanwhile, Greg got dressed into his classic black tux with white tie at a nearby home and also took time aside to read a lovely love note from Maria.  We were so thrilled to be able to capture these sweets moments for the couple.

Then, with help from her mother and sister, Maria put on her gorgeous wedding gown.  Her sleeveless dress featured a head to toe, full lace overlay and had an elegant trumpet silhouette, flaring beautifully just above the knee.  She had a long veil fastened to the back of her updo for her ceremony and after accessorizing with jewelry, she was ready for her emotional first look with her father.

Then it was time to head to the church!  With a gorgeous white bouquet in hand, Maria arrived at St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson, NJ for their ceremony.  Father Dan delivered a very special, personal message for the couple and guests before they recited their traditional vows.  After being pronounced 'husband and wife', they sealed it with a kiss and exited the church to a fun bubble salute!

It was such a pleasure to work alongside Artistic Imagery, one of our favorites, as they photographed the day's events and the formal portraits for Maria and Greg's wedding.

Maria and Greg's wedding day also incorporated such beautiful, touching tributes to Maria's brother.  They released symbolic floating lanterns during the day and evening and laid a lovely flower bouquet at Lakeview Memorial Park in honor of his memory.  The remembrances were so beautiful and so moving.  It was so wonderful to have him included in this special day.

Afterwards, we traveled to the grand Belle Voir Manor at Pen Ryn Estate in Bensalem, PA for their incredible reception!  This elegant venue overlooking the Delaware River features soaring ceilings, ornate iconic columns and sparkling chandeliers. Maria and Greg's arrival was announced, then they danced a beautifully tender first dance as husband and wife.  Maria's father welcomed everyone to the reception and gave such a touching toast to the couple, officially welcoming Greg into his family.  Maria's maid of honor and Greg's best man followed with both heartwarming and lighthearted toasts to the happy couple!  And Maria's dance with her father had those same qualities... they started slow and traditional but broke into a fun, choreographed dance routine that had everyone cheering them on!  Sean McCaffrey from Center Stage Entertainment kept the party going all evening long and the guests' hands in the air on that dance floor!  The evening concluded with a dazzling sparkler salute for the couple as everyone celebrated this joyous occasion and two very special people.

Congratulations and all our best wishes to Maria and Gregory!

Christine + Evan

Christine and Evan are such warm, good-natured people... just a super-sweet couple and such a pleasure with which to work on their wedding, from their first inquiry to their reception!  And their entire wedding day, filled with the love of family and friends, couldn't have been more fantastic!

Christine and Evan met at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children where Christine worked as a clinical pharmacist and Evan was completing his residency in Pediatrics.  A couple of Christine's friends had tried to get the two to meet while Evan was rotating through the NICU unit, but it just never happened.  Later, after he had moved onto another rotation, he was called back to the NICU unit for a consult.  Christine's two friends quickly seized the moment and called Evan over to meet her, despite Christine's initial objections (she thinks OR scrubs aren't the most flattering of outfits!).  They later met up as a group at Barcade in the city, where Christine and Evan had a chance to play games and talk.  After their first official date a week later at an ice skating rink (Evan's choice even though he didn't know how to skate!), the two really hit it off!  Their affection and love continued to grow through life's ups and downs, and even through the challenge of a long distance relationship.

This brings us up to their beautiful wedding day!  Christine and Evan began their special day at the hotel, The Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel, where they each got ready in separate rooms.  Evan and his groomsmen dressed into their traditional black tuxedos in their suite, and had a ton of fun in the process!  Before he was ready to go, Evan read aloud the card that Christine had written for him.  It was so beautiful to see the emotions that he simply couldn't contain.

Meanwhile, Christine also took time out during her preparations for the big day to read Evan's love note to her.  In it, he repeated his love and admiration for her and promised Christine that he would work everyday to make her proud.  We were so glad to be there to hear her read her note and capture it for their film.

Christine then put on her fabulous wedding gown with help from her mother.  Her fit and flare design wedding dress was covered in lovely lace appliqués and delicate sparkling beadwork and featured a beautiful v-neck bodice, also in lace.  For the ceremony, she wore a lovely waltz length, gauzy veil with a beaded edge which coordinated perfectly with her dazzling hairband.  She was such a stunning bride!  So beautiful!  Christine and her bridesmaids completed their look with gorgeous floral arrangements in burgundy, pink and white from Leigh Florist.

It was then time to head to St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill.  Their beautiful ceremony was filled with wonderful Greek traditions, including having Christian sponsors who were responsible for placing the rings on the bride and groom’s right hand and exchanging the crowns for the traditional Crowning ceremony.  The Crowning ritual is performed with blessings bestowed and represents the beginning of a marriage with the husband and wife as the king and queen of their family.  It also signifies that the couple receives the grace of the Holy Spirit who blesses their marriage, as the crowns, or Stefana, are swapped three times.  In addition, the ribbons attached also symbolize Christine and Evan's unity.

They participated in the Ceremonial Walk (Circling the Table) which symbolized their first steps as a married couple, their oath to honor their marriage commitment and their expression of joy for the blessings of God.  After they were officially pronounced 'husband and wife' and Evan was given permission to kiss his bride, they exited the church to a fantastic bubble salute!  Some family photos were taken there at the church before an additional photo shoot for the bridal party and family continued at their reception venue.  It was such a pleasure to work alongside Ashley Gerrity all throughout the day at this wonderful wedding!

Christine and Evan's reception was held at The Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees.  The couple was introduced and danced their first wonderfully choreographed first dance, complete with dips and all!   Wonderful speeches commenced from Christine's brother, Evan's parents, Christine's maid of honor and Evan's best man.  And we were also treated to very emotional toasts from Evan's brothers who said that they looked up to their older brother, Evan, more than anyone else.  It was simply an incredible night.  And the entire event went without a hitch thanks to the careful planning of Courtney Space Events.  Beautiful parent dances followed before the dance floor opened to everyone.  And Best of Both Worlds totally rocked the house that night!  Everyone had so much fun all night long!

We were so delighted to share in this special day.  Congratulations and best wishes to Christine and Evan!
