Jill + Glen

Six and a half years ago we filmed the wedding of Lisa and Jeff... and we absolutely couldn't wait to be there to film Lisa's sister, Jill, and her fiancée Glen's big day, too!  It was a wonderful spring day (that felt more like summer!) and it really was such a joy to celebrate with this sweet couple and with their warm and welcoming family.

Jill and Glen met in 2014 at a friend's birthday party.  Even though they had mutual friends in common, they'd never crossed paths until that momentous night.  They had so much fun that evening, talking and laughing, and decided to exchange phone numbers.  As Jill put it so beautifully, "that night was the beginning of our forever."  The very next day, they went on their first date and the two have been inseparable since then!

About six and a half years later, on Jill's birthday, she and Glen took a day trip to Annapolis, Maryland.  It was a pretty summer's day, and the couple strolled the streets, sightseeing and visiting the stores on Main Street with other tourists and shoppers.  Once they reached the dock, they stopped to listen to a duo of street performers.  It was the perfect scene... the sounds of the piano and violin with the water and boats in the background.  Glen asked bystanders to take their photo, who happily obliged, and when he asked for a second picture, Glen got down on one knee.  With diamond ring in hand, he asked Jill, "Will you?"  She didn't say yes exactly... but nodded her head, crying, and said, "Uh huh."

Jill was an absolutely beautiful bride!  She got ready for her wedding day at her parents' home in Maryland.  After hair and makeup was completed, she dressed into her amazing Stella York gown.  Her dress had an A-line silhouette, a subtle V-neckline and featured gorgeous lace appliqués in beautiful floral and vine-line patterns over soft tulle.  And those blue sandals were fantastic!

Jill's bridal party wore lovely matching light blue dresses and the wedding theme colors of soft blue and blush were also reflected in the gorgeous flower bouquets from Floral Impressions.

Glen and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, the groom standing apart from the rest of the guys with a white tie and vest.  Glen's best man's and groomsmen's light periwinkle blue ties coordinated perfectly with the bridal party's light and summery gowns.

Then it was time for to make it official!  Jill and Glen's ceremony was held at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland.  Father Bob Harrison performed their traditional Catholic ceremony and gave a beautiful homily.  Jill and Glen recited their very emotional vows, lit the symbolic unity candle together, exchanged rings and were pronounced as 'husband and wife'.

Before their reception began, we spent time outdoors with TLIC Media as they took candid and formal photographs of the couple and their wedding party.  It was a pleasure to work with their team on this very special day.

Jill and Glen's reception took place at the Shriners Boumi Temple in Rosedale.  The décor was gorgeous, with pink and blue florals and linens, cozy lanterns and rustic wood accents.  Just perfect!

Introductions of the wedding party began, and it was so fantastic to see Jill's cute baby nephew arrive for the party in his little car, looking so cool in his dark sunglasses (congrats to her sister Lisa and her husband, Jeff!).  He was so adorable!

Then, Jill and Glen were introduced as the newest Mr. and Mrs.!   And they shared their beautiful first dance.  Jill's father then gave a touching speech to honor the bride, groom and the couple together, and once again moved us all to tears!

We always love seeing the Polish wedding customs represented, such as the sharing of the bread, salt and wine.  The newlyweds were presented with these symbolic gifts as a wish for prosperity, good health, cheer and the continued love of many friends.  Jill also had a Czepek placed upon her head, evoking blessings, and a traditional (fun!) hat was placed on Glen's head as well.

Glen's best man and Jill's matron of honor, her sister, gave wonderful toasts, both funny and heartfelt.  We especially loved the poem of advice and about the joys of marriage shared by Jill's sister.  And after dinner, Jill shared her special dance with her father and Glen followed with a sweet dance with his sister.  With their warm embraces, you can easily see the love they share.

As dancing continued, the couple and guests participated in the traditional Polish Apron Dance, where money is donated cheerfully to the couple as everyone continues dancing the night away in celebration!  DJ Isaac, from Baltimore's Premier Event Solutions, definitely knew how to keep this party going strong all night!

The couple took a break from dancing to cut and share a taste of their amazing four-tiered wedding cake from Sugar Bakers.  And at the end of the celebration, Jill and Glen were given an exciting sparkler salute to send them off!

We're so blessed to have had the opportunity to share in Jill and Glen's incredible wedding day!  They were so sweet and down to earth each time we chatted over the many months that ticked by before their wedding day, and it was so wonderful to film such an important day in their lives together.  Congratulations and all our best wishes to Jill and Glen!

Robin + Ryan

Robin and Ryan met in London while they both lived there for their work.  They were introduced by a mutual friend and had their first date at the Market Tavern in London where they shared their very first pint together!

So how many can say that an avalanche warning was the reason for a last minute change of plans for their wedding proposal?  It was right before Christmas in 2019 and Robin and Ryan were in Courchevel in the French Alps.  Ryan had prepared to propose to Robin at the top of the mountain, but had to quickly send Robin to the spa when he found the ski lifts closed.  But his "Plan B" was just as lovely!  Ryan asked Robin to marry him outside their hotel on the side of the mountain, with a bottle of champagne at the ready.  And she said "yes"!  They enjoyed the rest of their special weekend together in France before flying home to celebrate with their families.

On the morning of their wedding, Robin and Ryan each got ready at their families' homes in the shore town of Bay Head, New Jersey.  The team at L Studio were just finishing up with hair and makeup when we arrived to find Robin celebrating with her family and bridal party and enjoying their fantastic photo shoot.

Robin then dressed into her beautiful Suzanne Neville gown that featured a deep V-neckline and equally stunning deep-V back detail.  It had a delightful minimalistic chic, A-line silhouette, a delicate sash and pretty buttons to fasten in back.  And she completed her wedding attire with a long flowing embroidered veil for her photos and ceremony.  Robin was such an absolutely beautiful bride!

Before their ceremony, the couple met up for a special first look on the beach at Strickland Street in Bay Head.  It was so sweet to see them kiss, hug and even high-five after seeing each other all dressed and ready for the big day!

We loved filming their photo shoot with Julia Wagner of Therese Marie Wagner Photography, right there on the beach.  We loved filming the couple as they strolled along the beach and boardwalk on this spectacular, sunny day!  And the photos continued on at their venue, Bay Head Yacht Club in Bay Head.

Robin and Ryan's wedding ceremony took place in Bay Head Yacht Club's Dale Building, also known as the Boat House.  The cutest ring bearers and flower girls joined in the processional before Robin entered on the arm of her father.  The homily given was so moving and meaningful, then Robin and Ryan exchanged rings and recited their vows, their forever promises to each other.

Following the ceremony, Robin and Ryan left by boat, celebrating with champagne as they traveled across Bay Head Harbor to meet their friends and family awaiting their arrival at their venue.  Then it was time to celebrate Robin and Ryan's fantastic reception at the clubhouse at Bay Head Yacht Club!  Flowers by Melinda decorated the nautical inspired ballroom so beautifully with blush and ivory blooms and lovely floating candles.  And the market string lights made the room feel so warm and romantic.

Robin and Ryan entered the clubhouse ballroom and danced a wonderfully choreographed first dance together, then we were treated to beautiful toasts from Robin's father, her sister and maid of honor and from Ryan's best man, his brother.  After dinner, Robin and Ryan shared very touching first dances with their parents, a sweet tradition we always love to watch.

Dancing continued well into the evening as Escapade, from Craig Scott Entertainment, totally rocked the house!  Then, the couple cut and shared their delectable five-tiered wedding cake, each layer adorned with delicate blush and ivory flowers.

This was such a beaufiful wedding event and we were so blessed to have been a part of capturing it for Robin and Ryan and their family.  To echo the words of Robin's father that evening, we wish Robin and Ryan many years of love and happiness!

Brittany + Kevin

Brittany and Kevin first met as teens at a "college day" event where the students from the local all-girls and all-boys high schools visit a prep school to learn about the different college opportunities.  The two ended up in a lot of classrooms together and discovered that they had a mutual friend in common.  Kevin knew right from their first encounter that he was in love with Brittany, and even told his friend he would marry her someday!  They continued to see each other at different events and locations, with Kevin usually initiating the conversations.  But one evening when they saw each other at a bar, Brittany called Kevin over to talk.  She noticed the ring he was wearing was an Irish Claddaugh ring, and she was wearing the same one!  After finding out if he was already taken as the ring can often signify (he wasn't), they hit it off, enjoying the rest of the evening together.  By the following week, they were officially dating and sharing their first magical kiss!

The special place Kevin chose to propose to Brittany has a huge significance in their lives for several reasons.  He asked her to marry him in Disney's World's Epcot park, on the bridge right across from the Italy pavilion.  Brittany loves that scenic bridge, and the couple have a fantastic photo of the two of them on it that they treasure from a previous trip.  But also, Brittany and Kevin have always planned a special honeymoon in Italy that they'll be taking soon!

Brittany and Kevin were actually officially married before this very special day.  But this was the day to wear the beautiful white dress and to dress up in the fine suit.  It was the day to hold their wedding ceremony at their church.  And of course, it was the day to celebrate their wonderful marriage with all their family and friends!

On the morning of their wedding, Brittany and Kevin each got ready at their parents' homes, not very far from the church where their ceremony would soon take place.  The team from Nancy Caroline Beauty finished their artistry with hair and makeup and Brittany's bridal party dressed into their lovely long pink gowns.

Kevin and his groomsmen had fun hanging out together before it was time for them to get into their dark blue suits with coordinating pink neckties.  And we loved his fun aqua puppy dog socks!  A fabulous tribute to their little pup who would be joining in the day's celebrations, too!

Then it was time for Brittany to put on her beautiful wedding dress.  She wore an amazing plunging v-neckline gown from Eddy K with gorgeous glittering embroidery.  She accessorized with pearl earrings and necklace and a long, flowing veil for the ceremony.  And her beautiful ivory and pink bouquet from London Flower & Variety included a pin with photos of Brittany's beloved grandmothers.

Before the ceremony was to start, Brittany and Kevin read beautifully written love notes that they exchanged that morning.  This is always such a meaningful, sweet moment to capture and we know they'll both treasure having the first time they read their cards to re-watch and relive forever.

Brittany and Kevin's ceremony was held at St. Ephrem Parish in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.  And their marriage ceremony was made even more wonderful because Kevin's uncle, Father Vincent Guest, officiated their traditional Catholic ceremony.  We really enjoyed his personal message to Brittany and Kevin as they continue in this new chapter in their lives together.  The couple said their 'I do's', exchanged rings and were soon pronounced 'still husband and wife'!

We all had so much fun during Brittany and Kevin's photo shoots with Emily Kirsten Photography!  The formal and candid photos were taken after the ceremony at nearby Holy Ghost Preparatory School, the place where Brittany and Kevin first met, and at their reception venue.  You could see how much fun they and their wedding party all had during their shoots.  And of course, their cute pup got in on the action, too!  Check out some of the photos on her website!

Then it was time for the party to celebrate the happy couple!  Brittany and Kevin's reception kicked off at Pen Ryn Estate's newest venue, River's Edge.  This beautiful tented garden pavilion has an impressive arched ceiling, patio paver flooring and boasts amazing views of the Delaware River.   The venue was filled with floral centerpieces and décor that reflected the shades of pink in wedding theme colors.  Absolutely gorgeous!

Brittany and Kevin skipped into the room to the cheers of everyone and danced their first, very fun, dance together!  This was followed by a beautiful, very moving welcome speech and toast from Brittany's father and the blessing.  We also fell in love with the toasts given by Brittany's maid of honor and Kevin's best man and especially the recitation of the traditional Irish Blessing.  Then those touching parent dances followed.

Brittany and Kevin cut their five-tiered cake adorned with lovely pink roses from Isgro Pasticceria and the dance floor was opened to everyone.  The Exceptions were truly exceptional and kept the party rocking and everyone out on that dance floor and having fun all night!

Brittany and Kevin's wedding day was incredible and we were so happy to be able to share in their day and to celebrate with them!  Through delays and several changes in plans, the two always stayed positive, determined to make their dream wedding day come true and they succeeded without a doubt.  Their beautiful wedding event was absolutely perfect!  Congratulations to such a sweet couple, Brittany and Kevin.  We wish them all the best!

Erica + Kris

In mid-November, we filmed a beautiful wedding at one of our favorite venues, the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, and with one of our favorite photographers, Drew Noel.  But the best part for us was getting to work with this fantastic couple and their sweet family.

Erica and Kris met each other after being set up by mutual friends. And they had a very fun first date, roller skating!  It wasn't too long before Kris knew he had found 'the one' and was excited to propose to Erica.

Kris's proposal to Erica was a total surprise to her!  While they were enjoying a date, walking through a sunflower maze one afternoon, Kris had sprouted plants set up in window boxes on the ground to read, “Will you marry me?”  He chose the little sprouts because a seed is a symbol of new life growing, and those sprouts were a poetic symbol of their lives sprouting and growing together.  What a creative and thoughtful way to recognize the new life they're forming together and to ask the most important question to the love of his life.

Erica and Kris each got ready in separate cottages on the grounds of the Ryland Inn.  Kris dressed into his classic black tuxedo, looking so very handsome with his dapper groomsmen by his side.  After they were all primped and polished, they joyously toasted the groom outside!  Meanwhile Erica had fun with her mother and bridal party in their matching or coordinating blue shirts, enjoying a drink and having photos taken as they readied for the day.  Erica's mother made a beautiful shawl for her to wear over her gown for when the temperature was cool at her reception.  And her gown was absolutely gorgeous too!  Erica wore a strapless ball gown from Provonias that featured a sweetheart neckline and a beautiful lace overlay.  She was such a stunning bride!  And we were touched to see her father as he was treated to his first look at his beautiful daughter on her wedding day.

After they were all dressed, Erica and Kris met for their first look outside.  It was so sweet to see their excitement and joy!  Following their first sight, first kisses, first slow dance and first hugs on their wedding day, the couple enjoyed their wonderful photo shoot with the team at Drew Noel Photography.  We're sure the entire wedding party had such a ball posing for those iconic formal photos and for all the fun and artistic candid shots too.

It was on to Erica and Kris's Catholic ceremony at Saint Luke Parish in Long Valley.  Kris's sister played the violin beautifully, and during their traditional ceremony, Erica and Kris participated in the lighting of a unity candle and presented flowers to Mary.  The couple recited their sacred vows, their promises to each other for their lifetime, and after being pronounced as 'husband and wife', they kissed to the applause of their family and friends.

Erica and Kris's reception at the Ryland Inn was absolutely perfect.  Laura Clare Design layered the venue with gorgeous floral arrangements in deep burgundy, blue and green.  And a live event painter, Amanda Hawthorne from Live Well Paint Often, created a portrait of the evening's events as they happened.  Sweet and heartfelt toasts were given that evening from Erica's father, from Kris's best man and from Erica's matron of honor as the couple sat in front of the roaring and romantic fire.  Then, RPM Entertainment got the party started with music to keep everyone out on that dance floor!

In the words of their officiant, Father Michael Drury, we were all there to celebrate an amazing moment in the lives of Erica and Kris, a moment that will never be the same because it's all moving forward wonderfully in a positive direction.  Congratulations and best wishes to Erica and Kris!
