Sarah + Louis

Fall weddings are so sublime, but the weather can certainly be unpredictable.  You just never know if there will be a cold snap.  For this beautiful wedding, the temperature was absolutely perfect, but light rain did take over much of the morning and afternoon.  The sporadic rain this day didn't put a damper on anything for this sweet couple though.  Sarah and Louis had such a fabulous wedding day in Hoboken and Jersey City, with the dazzling New York City skyline as their backdrop.

Sarah and Louis have a wonderful first chapter of their story together.  Their parents had known each other years ago, as their fathers worked together in the same company and they both lived in Staten Island.  Sarah's parents actually went to Louis' parents wedding ceremony!  Louis' parents eventually moved to New Jersey, and coincidentally, Sarah's parents moved to the same town a few years later.

Sarah and Louis ran into each other occasionally when they were young, but never really knew each other until their college days.  During that time, they messaged on Facebook and started to get to know each other.  When they returned from college in spring, they went on their first official date and spent the entire summer together.  Sarah and Louis have been together ever since!  And the icing on the cake was how their relationship reconnected their parents, too!

And how did they know they had found the one they were meant to be with?  That's easy.  Life feels so natural and effortless when they're together, and it's been like that since the beginning of their relationship.

On the morning of the wedding, Sarah's hair and makeup were already professionally styled and impeccable by the time we arrived at W Hoboken hotel in Hoboken, New Jersey.  She dressed into her gorgeous bridal gown that featured a strapless, sweetheart neckline, a lovely, delicate pearl beaded belt and a very elegant fit and flare silhouette.  Sarah was an absolutely beautiful bride!

Meanwhile, Louis prepared for the day nearby at his home.  His parents and groomsmen, including his younger brother, were there to help, and of course to celebrate with him that morning, too!  Louis and his groomsmen dressed into their very formal black tuxedos, all looking fantastic and ready for this special day.

Sarah's bridal party all dressed into their long, green gowns and looked so spectacular, too! But first, they celebrated with mimosas with Sarah and had photos taken in their matching pj's.  And we loved how the girls had their own special, first look at Sarah once she was dressed in her beautiful gown.

And as they continued getting ready that morning, the couple took a moment aside to read love notes that each had written earlier.  They were so sweet and so heartfelt.  It's always so wonderful to capture these sentiments and the special moment when our couples read those words that were written straight from the heart.

Then, it was time to travel to the church to make it official!  Sarah and Louis's ceremony was held at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church in Hoboken.  Louis was so emotional at the sight of his beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle.  A wonderful Mass was given by Father Remo DiSalvatore, then after the traditional ceremony concluded, Sarah and Louis were presented to their friends and family officially as 'Mr. and Mrs.'!  Once outside, they released white doves to celebrate.

Our good friend and an amazing photographer, Paul and his team at Paul Francis Photography, took fabulous photos of Sarah and Louis and their family and wedding party that day.  Many of these photos were taken there at their beautiful church.

After the photo sessions, we all headed to the chosen venue for the party.  And what an amazing location it was!  The two held their reception at Hudson House, a fabulous venue overlooking the Hudson River and the exciting New York City skyline.  The rain made no difference in the scenery... those picturesque views were incredible!

And the views inside were spectacular, too!  The elegant reception space was filled with flickering candlelight and with gorgeous floral arrangements in white from A Touch of Elegance.  It could not have been any more warm and romantic!

Sarah and Louis's arrival was announced following their wedding party, then the two shared the first dance of the evening, and their first romantic dance together as husband and wife.  Afterwards, touching parent dances took center stage before guests took their seats for dinner.

During dinner, the couple's parents gave wonderful speeches, followed by sweet toasts given by Sarah's maid of honor, her good friend from college, and from Louis's brother who served as his best man, and from his lovely sister.  Then, the dance floor opened to everyone, and stayed packed all night!  The Joe Baracata Band made sure to keep the party going strong, right to the end!

What a wonderful day this was, and such a beautiful wedding event to capture.  We thank Sarah and Louis for allowing us to film their day and to share in their wedding celebration.  And we wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!

Andrea + Coker

This July wedding event couldn't have happened on a more beautiful, balmy summer day.  With no rain materializing as was predicted and before the upcoming heatwave would arrive, everything about this afternoon was absolutely perfect for a wedding!

Andrea and Coker are such a sweet couple.  They met a few years ago on on online dating site, like most couples do today, however they also happen to work at the same location.  The two fell in love and were engaged on July 2... and planned their wedding event for the same special date one year later.

The couple each got ready for their special day at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.  With such a wonderfully big wedding party (Andrea had 14 attendants!), the two were sure to book the largest suites in the hotel!

Coker and his best man and many groomsmen got ready in a large, luxury suite at the hotel.  They were all really soaking in this fun and exciting day, a day to honor Andrea and Coker and their relationship.

Andrea then dressed into her gorgeous wedding gown.  It featured a deep-V neckline, delicate spaghetti straps and beautiful lace and beadwork throughout.  In her hair, she wore a long veil for the ceremony.  She looked absolutely stunning!

The two knew early on that they did not want to see each other before Andrea's walk down the aisle, so once they were all dressed and ready for their day, they each traveled by limo straight to their venue for the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, New Jersey.  The ceremony space was decorated so beautifully with white floral arrangements on glittering stands lining the aisles and a floral garland filled with white blooms above the altar.   Andrea walked down the aisle and met up with Coker for their marriage ceremony.  The two recited their vows and exchanged rings and before long, Coker saluted his bride, they were pronounced 'husband and wife' and kissed for the first time as a married couple!

After the ceremony, the couple had their formal and candid photos taken there on the grounds of their venue.  With the beautiful weather, it was so nice to be able to film photo shoots taken outside in the middle of summer.

Then it was time for the reception to kick off!  The wedding party's arrival was announced, then everyone got the dance floor warmed up quickly!  Andrea and Coker danced their first dance 'on a cloud', with a sparkler salute from the Mansion.  Then, the couple danced with their mothers, and we heard fantastic toasts from Coker's best man and from three of Andrea's bridesmaids and long-time friends.  Each said they weren't public speakers but that wasn't true, they all had wonderful speeches and toasts to the couple.  And when they had a hard time containing their emotions, it made everyone feel the same.

Andrea then changed into a second amazing sequined dress for the rest of the party at the reception!  Andrea tossed her bouquet to 'all the single ladies' and Coker took off Andrea's garter, one of his groomsmen dressing the bridesmaid who caught the bouquet.

In the sophisticated and glamorous ballroom at the Mansion, the couple and all their guests celebrated the night away!  The DJ for this fantastic event, and Coker's good friend, had such energy and easily kept all Andrea and Coker's guests on the dance floor all night!

Kudos to Lady Ashanti for planning and organizing such a perfect wedding day!  Everything ran so smoothly and turned out so wonderfully, truly an amazing event and we were so thrilled to have been a part of capturing it for this loving, and fun-loving, couple.

Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds, Andrea and Coker!

Trisha + Evan

We were so thrilled to be there to film and celebrate this absolutely fantastic wedding event in Philadelphia!  And the fact that this couple was so sweet was just icing on the cake.  Trisha and Evan were married on a beautiful day in mid-October... the weather was perfect and the love truly overflowing that day.

Trisha met Evan after she happened to work with his best friend from high school.  She and her friend and co-worker planned an evening to hang out with friends in Doylestown, and all met at the house of one of their friends.  The last person to arrive that evening was Evan.  Trisha and Evan started talking later that night, exchanged numbers and soon fell madly in love.

Fast forward a bit to their wedding event!  Trisha got ready for the big day at her parents' house in Philadelphia with her family and bridal party joining in for the morning preparations.  There, she had her last touches of makeup applied by MadMakeup and her beautiful long, wavy hairstyle perfected by Ariel Katrina Hair.  The bridal party made sure to take some time for photos together, too, before dressing into their lovely long gowns.

Then, Trisha dressed into her gorgeous wedding gown with help from her mother and sister.  Her strapless dress had a sweetheart bodice and was covered in lace embroidery in a beautiful floral pattern.  It had just the perfect amount of shimmer and a fabulous princess silhouette.   She accessorized with a delicate necklace and dangling earrings, and completed her look with a long, traditional veil for the ceremony.  Trisha looked so amazing!

Evan prepared for the wedding day with his groomsmen at his parents' home, dressing into his dark navy tuxedo with his father by his side.  His mother then added the perfect final touch with an ivory floral boutonniere.

Once Trisha was all dressed and ready, her father received his first look at his beautiful daughter on this very special day.  We absolutely loved how emotional he was at the sight of his daughter descending the stairs, and was tearful several more times throughout the day, too!  It was so wonderful to be there for these sweet and sentimental moments.

Trisha and Evan's traditional Catholic ceremony was held at St. Martha Parish in the northeast section of Philadelphia.  Trisha entered the church and walked down the aisle on the arm of her father.  This was the moment she and Evan had their first look at each other on this special day, and Evan was so emotional at the sight of his bride.  Father Jonathan Dalin delivered a beautiful message and led the two in reciting their vows and exchanging rings.  Then, Trisha and Evan were officially 'husband and wife'!

We all had a fantastic time during the formal photo shoot at Nazareth Academy, and what a gorgeous, historic location for those wedding photos!  One of our absolute favorites, Artistic Imagery, captured the day's events for Trisha and Evan, and we know that album will be so beautiful.

Then, it was time to party!  Trisha and Evan's reception took place at Heroes Ballroom in the Philadelphia FOP Lodge #5.   They chose such beautiful, iconic fall colors for their event, matching the bridal party's gowns in warm cinnamon brown, merlot red, creamy white, dusty rose and burgundy.... and a touch of lavender, too!   The flower arrangements from London Flower & Variety were simply amazing.  And the couple's white, semi-naked, four-tiered cake with burgundy and ivory blooms from Schenks Family Bakery was also so delightful.

Father Dalin gave the blessing and we heard toasts from Trisha's father, from her sister and maid of honor and from Evan's two best men, his brothers.  Evan then expressed his love and gratitude to their family and friends on behalf of Trisha and himself for being there to support and celebrate with them.

Then, in another one of our favorite moments, the traditional (and so emotional) parent dances took place, and Trisha danced a sweet waltz with her grandfather and a lively dance with her father-in-law as a surprise as well.  And after dinner, dancing and celebrating continued all night thanks to the absolutely fantastic sounds of the Slippery Band!

This was truly a wonderful day and we were so happy to be a part of capturing it for Trisha and Evan.  Best wishes to the newlyweds!

Jill + Glen

Six and a half years ago we filmed the wedding of Lisa and Jeff... and we absolutely couldn't wait to be there to film Lisa's sister, Jill, and her fiancée Glen's big day, too!  It was a wonderful spring day (that felt more like summer!) and it really was such a joy to celebrate with this sweet couple and with their warm and welcoming family.

Jill and Glen met in 2014 at a friend's birthday party.  Even though they had mutual friends in common, they'd never crossed paths until that momentous night.  They had so much fun that evening, talking and laughing, and decided to exchange phone numbers.  As Jill put it so beautifully, "that night was the beginning of our forever."  The very next day, they went on their first date and the two have been inseparable since then!

About six and a half years later, on Jill's birthday, she and Glen took a day trip to Annapolis, Maryland.  It was a pretty summer's day, and the couple strolled the streets, sightseeing and visiting the stores on Main Street with other tourists and shoppers.  Once they reached the dock, they stopped to listen to a duo of street performers.  It was the perfect scene... the sounds of the piano and violin with the water and boats in the background.  Glen asked bystanders to take their photo, who happily obliged, and when he asked for a second picture, Glen got down on one knee.  With diamond ring in hand, he asked Jill, "Will you?"  She didn't say yes exactly... but nodded her head, crying, and said, "Uh huh."

Jill was an absolutely beautiful bride!  She got ready for her wedding day at her parents' home in Maryland.  After hair and makeup was completed, she dressed into her amazing Stella York gown.  Her dress had an A-line silhouette, a subtle V-neckline and featured gorgeous lace appliqués in beautiful floral and vine-line patterns over soft tulle.  And those blue sandals were fantastic!

Jill's bridal party wore lovely matching light blue dresses and the wedding theme colors of soft blue and blush were also reflected in the gorgeous flower bouquets from Floral Impressions.

Glen and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos, the groom standing apart from the rest of the guys with a white tie and vest.  Glen's best man's and groomsmen's light periwinkle blue ties coordinated perfectly with the bridal party's light and summery gowns.

Then it was time for to make it official!  Jill and Glen's ceremony was held at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland.  Father Bob Harrison performed their traditional Catholic ceremony and gave a beautiful homily.  Jill and Glen recited their very emotional vows, lit the symbolic unity candle together, exchanged rings and were pronounced as 'husband and wife'.

Before their reception began, we spent time outdoors with TLIC Media as they took candid and formal photographs of the couple and their wedding party.  It was a pleasure to work with their team on this very special day.

Jill and Glen's reception took place at the Shriners Boumi Temple in Rosedale.  The décor was gorgeous, with pink and blue florals and linens, cozy lanterns and rustic wood accents.  Just perfect!

Introductions of the wedding party began, and it was so fantastic to see Jill's cute baby nephew arrive for the party in his little car, looking so cool in his dark sunglasses (congrats to her sister Lisa and her husband, Jeff!).  He was so adorable!

Then, Jill and Glen were introduced as the newest Mr. and Mrs.!   And they shared their beautiful first dance.  Jill's father then gave a touching speech to honor the bride, groom and the couple together, and once again moved us all to tears!

We always love seeing the Polish wedding customs represented, such as the sharing of the bread, salt and wine.  The newlyweds were presented with these symbolic gifts as a wish for prosperity, good health, cheer and the continued love of many friends.  Jill also had a Czepek placed upon her head, evoking blessings, and a traditional (fun!) hat was placed on Glen's head as well.

Glen's best man and Jill's matron of honor, her sister, gave wonderful toasts, both funny and heartfelt.  We especially loved the poem of advice and about the joys of marriage shared by Jill's sister.  And after dinner, Jill shared her special dance with her father and Glen followed with a sweet dance with his sister.  With their warm embraces, you can easily see the love they share.

As dancing continued, the couple and guests participated in the traditional Polish Apron Dance, where money is donated cheerfully to the couple as everyone continues dancing the night away in celebration!  DJ Isaac, from Baltimore's Premier Event Solutions, definitely knew how to keep this party going strong all night!

The couple took a break from dancing to cut and share a taste of their amazing four-tiered wedding cake from Sugar Bakers.  And at the end of the celebration, Jill and Glen were given an exciting sparkler salute to send them off!

We're so blessed to have had the opportunity to share in Jill and Glen's incredible wedding day!  They were so sweet and down to earth each time we chatted over the many months that ticked by before their wedding day, and it was so wonderful to film such an important day in their lives together.  Congratulations and all our best wishes to Jill and Glen!
