Jennifer + Derrik

Jennifer and Derrik met at Syracuse College of Law where they bonded over their love of basketball… rival teams though!  Jennifer had gone to Villanova University for undergrad and so was a big ‘Nova fan whereas Derrik followed his beloved Orange team from Syracuse.  The two are able to keep their love for each other strong despite their differences!

As the two prepared for their day, they exchanged touching love letters and wonderful gifts.  Jennifer was so excited to receive a beautiful quilted leather Chanel handbag from her one and only!  Then they dressed for the big day ahead! Jennifer’s gorgeous strapless wedding dress featured top to bottom ruching and a glamorous rhinestone belt.  She looked simply amazing!  It was then time to head to the church, where their beautiful wedding ceremony took place at Jennifer’s alma mater, Villanova, at the St. Thomas of Villanova Parish.

After Jennifer and Derrik exchanged their vows, it was time to get ready for their reception.  We paused to film the couple and their wedding party while formal photos were taken by Two Suits and a Dress and loved the way Jennifer’s bridesmaids wore the traditional white.

We then arrived at the Merion Cricket Club.  With its soaring vaulted ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and arched windows, the Ballroom at the club is simply stunning.  It was decorated that day with magnificent centerpieces filled with ivory florals.  Robertson’s Flowers and Events did an amazing job with the décor.

The party was then ignited by BVT Live!’s Back2Life.  This eight piece dance band really knew how to keep the party hopping and everyone on the dance floor!  We truly enjoyed filming this celebration of marriage.

We wish our sincere congratulations and a lifetime of love and happiness to Jennifer and Derrik!

Eugenia + Jordan

Genie and Jordan actually met over thirteen years ago when they both attended the same high school in Houston, TX.  Even after he moved away, the two stayed in touch and continued to deepen their strong friendship.  Their love continued to flourish despite the fact that Genie was attending college in Texas while Jordan attended the Naval Academy in Maryland.  One November day, Jordan proposed along the water’s edge in Annapolis, and since the city has special meaning to them both, they decided to hold their wedding there on this beautiful summer day.

Genie and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day together at the Marriott Annapolis Waterfront Hotel.  There they were professionally styled by Amie Decker Beauty dressed in beautiful coordinating floral robes.  What a beautiful setting for a wedding celebration!  After everyone was ready to go, wonderful professional photos were taken by Renee Michele Photography on the docks overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.

Their ceremony took place at The Naval Academy Chapel.  Genie was such a gorgeous bride!  Her delicate headband was the perfect accessory for her vintage style wedding gown.  We can’t say enough how beautiful the beading along the top and sleeves and lace throughout the skirt were!  Jordan was sure to wear his Full Dress Whites for this special occasion and of course, he looked so handsome.   And with this being a military wedding, the ceremony exit concluded with the traditional Arch of Swords as Genie was welcomed into the naval family with that gentle swat!

After formal photos, we were off to the reception.  The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is an amazing venue, filled with nautical flair and gorgeous water views.  The garden landscape and waterfront location was so lovely, providing wonderful areas to film the happy couple.  Inside, the venue was beautifully decorated in the navy blue and corals found in the dresses of the bridal party.  Soo Son of Silverstems provided beautiful floral arrangements for this occasion.  And Entertainment Exchange’s Nightsong kept the party rolling and the guests enjoying themselves thoroughly on the dance floor!

Congratulations to such a sweet couple!  We wish all the best to Eugenia and Jordan!

Caitlin + Stephen

Caitlin and Stephen make such a wonderful couple!  The two met while watching the Manayunk Bike Race got engaged about a year before their spectacular wedding day.  Stephen had proposed to Caitlin as she was preparing to take him on a special trip to Atlantic City for his birthday.  He set up a picture of the two of them and a rose on each step leading down to the dining room.  Stephen set up a computer upstairs to play Lee Brice’s “Woman Like You” with a note also asking Caitlin to meet him downstairs in the dining room.  When she arrived, Stephen was on one knee with the ring ready.  She said yes... and that brings us to this wonderful wedding event!

Their wedding day began with preparations at the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel and at Caitlin’s family home.  While we filmed Caitlin and Stephen as they dressed and readied themselves for an exciting day ahead, photos were captured by Unique Concepts Studio.  Be sure to check out some photos from the day on their blog!  Some of the flower arrangements from London Flower and Variety were there during morning preparations.  They looked and smelled so fabulous, with roses in shades of pink, blush and ivory and lavender flower accents.

It was then time to begin the ceremony at St. Ignatius of Antioch in Yardley, PA.  With such an emotion-filled ceremony, it was so hard to keep a dry eye!  Caitlin looked amazing in her wedding gown.  It was strapless with a trumpet flared skirt and we absolutely loved the delicate embroidered accents.  Her bridesmaids wore matching soft pink dresses which coordinated so perfectly with those gorgeous flowers.  And Stephen and his groomsmen looked very handsome in their gray suits.  Pink and gray make a stunning color combination.

After the ceremony concluded, it was time to move to the reception locale.  Caitlin and Stephen’s reception was held in the historic clubhouse of Trenton Country Club, a stately venue that has seen many famous guests over its nearly 120 years.  After dinner, the fun really started!  Check out some of the amazing dance moves witnessed that evening!  Guests had a great time dancing the night away and joking around at the photo booth.  DJ Jeff Taylor from Signature DJs set the tone for a very lively event!

It was such a joy to be a part of such an amazing wedding!  Best wishes to Caitlin and Stephen for a lifetime of love and laughter!

Trisha + Michael

We absolutely loved this all-in-one wedding at The Merion in Cinnaminson.  Trisha and Michael are such a wonderful couple and were such a pleasure to work with on this late winter wedding.

As Mike was the Vice President of the Clevemore Fancy Brigade of the Philadelphia Mummers, the two met through a friend at an organization event years ago. Their relationship grew over the years.  Most weekends, the two visit with friends and enjoy their fire pit in the evenings.  As they were having a conversation about how people “make things official” these days on Facebook, a friend asked Mike when he was going to do that.  That’s when he proposed to Trisha while their group of friends watched and celebrated.

Fast forward to their joyous wedding day.  Trisha’s beautiful wedding dress was simply amazing!  It featured a ruffled skirt with a black sash and a sparkling jeweled bodice.  The bridal party wore long black dresses in keeping with Trisha and Mike’s black, white and red wedding theme colors. Their red bouquets popped against their black gowns. The groomsmen sported red vests and ties to coordinate beautifully.  Perfect colors for a late winter affair.

They held their ceremony there at The Merion and then posed for formal photos for Nicole Shilliday of Shilliday Photography.  Afterwards, Trisha, Mike and their guests moved on to their reception.  This was such a fun-filled and very festive celebration of two special people.  With their ties to the famed Philadelphia organization, they were sure to have the mummers there to entertain as they danced the iconic mummer’s strut! Take a look at the wonderful dance moves at this wedding!

Congratulations to Trisha and Michael!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness surrounded by the love of friends and family always!
