Kirsten + Gary

It was such a pleasure to work with Kirsten and Gary on their wedding day!  Kirsten has such an amazing character and is a very talented artist with her own design studio.  And once we met Gary on the wedding day, we discovered that he is equally sweet and truly a perfect match for Kirsten’s enthusiastic personality!  Their wedding was such a wonderful event held on a gorgeous summer afternoon.

Kirsten and Gary met online and had their first date, quickly finding out that they didn’t seem to have much in common.  But that doesn’t mean that they didn’t click!  Kirsten mentioned to him that her passion is photography and that she had recently lost thousands of photos on a broken laptop computer.  The computer repair team acknowledged that they couldn’t be recovered after weeks of attempts.  But Gary insisted that she let him try to get them back for her.  Kirsten agreed that they would have lunch if he tried to work on her photo recovery.  The next day, Gary called to apologize for the fact that he had given up, and they met for lunch as planned.  But over lunch, he let her know that he had indeed been able to get back all of her photos!  The next four years together were full of surprises like this, some ups and some downs, but through it all, they’ve grown closer together and more in love each day.

The couple’s beautiful wedding took place at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA.  She and her bridesmaids prepared for the wedding there, having Daneene Jensen and Associates perfecting their hair and makeup.  Gary, meanwhile, was getting ready for the day at The Hotel Warner.  Afterwards, we were happy to capture Kirsten reading her love note from Gary as the two exchanged heartfelt written messages and gifts.  It was then time to get dressed for the big event!

Kirsten’s wedding gown was so beautiful!  She wore a gorgeous gown that featured a sweetheart neckline, a gorgeous brooch and sparkling halter top straps.  The lovely full skirt featured an abundance of beautiful ruching and we loved her accessories... lace gloves and a glamorous white feather and flower fascinator in her hair!  She was an absolutely captivating bride!  Gary was a very dapper groom in his formal white jacket tuxedo, which contrasted with his groomsmen in their black tuxes.  Kirsten’s bridesmaids were all so delightful in their cream, lace covered gowns.  And we certainly can’t forget their beautiful children all dressed up for this very special occasion (their son definitely stole the show in the reception)!

Kirsten and Gary’s ceremony was held outdoors in the formal gardens at The Hunting Hill Mansion at Ridley Creek State Park.  The setting couldn’t have been more beautiful.  With the grand tudor mansion in the background, the perfectly manicured grounds and the impressive gray stonework repeating throughout the park, this location was simply enchanting.  The ceremony definitely took place in a ‘secret garden’ carbon copy!  The two recited their heartfelt vows to each other and were now ‘two as one’!  A fun bubble salute from their guests led them out of the ceremony location and on to formal photos by Luckie Photography’s Ivan Luckie and Crumz Photography’s Marvin Cruz.

After formal photos and the cocktail hour concluded, the reception kicked off!  This took place inside the impressive ballroom at Hunting Hill Mansion, where Kirsten surprised guests with a terrific, well-choreographed dance with her son!  It was a hit!  And the venue was so wonderfully decked out in flowers supplied by Sue Dumin, who previously handled décor at Normandy Farms.  The bridal party bouquets and table arrangements were just beautiful.  Kirsten herself also supplied so many of the wonderful DIY décor pieces found throughout the event.

Guests continued to mingle on the patio and dance the evening away inside to high energy hits played by DJ Mike Oberholtzer, who also is a good friend of Kirsten’s!  And check out that amazing cake by Shackamaxon All Seasons Catering (which Kirsten just couldn’t resist dabbing onto Gary’s nose during the cake cutting ceremony!).

At the end of the evening, guests treated the happy couple to a sparkler salute in celebration of their new marriage.  Congratulations to Kirsten and Gary!  We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Cindy + Brian

Cindy and Brian met at work.  Even though they are from two different states, they had so much in common and even when they first met, they felt like they'd known each other for years.  Their connection was just that instant!  We can see why they get along so well... they're both such sweet individuals!

We loved being there to film as Cindy and her bridesmaids got dressed and ready for the day.  They wore lovely matching (and coordinating) floral robes as they had their hair and makeup done by professional artists from Thriv. Salon and Spa.  It was so heartwarming to hear Cindy read her love note from Brian as he said he would always love and respect Cindy, be loyal to her and forever be a shoulder to cry on.

Cindy’s bridesmaids then changed into their beautiful long, deep purple gowns and Cindy put on her gorgeous wedding gown.  It was an amazing fit and flare gown, covered in lace and accented with a pearl and rhinestone belt.  She was such a striking bride! Cindy wore her long hair down and had a lovely mid length veil fastened to the back of her hair.  Their bouquets were so delightful in bright shades of violet, lavender and fuchsia.  Cindy’s flowers contrasted wonderfully as they featured an array of white flowers, accented with touches of violet and lavender.

Brian and his groomsmen dressed in their classic black tuxedos and Brian traveled to Strawbridge Lake Park to anxiously await Cindy’s arrival for their first look.   We love first looks!  They’re so exciting, filled with anticipation and passion.  It was fun to film the two as Sara and Steve Langdon of Langdon Photography took such beautiful photos of the couple.  Check out their blog for some wonderful images of Cindy and Brian’s wedding!

The two held their beautiful ceremony in the Palace Ballroom at The Merion in Cinnaminson.  It was a beautiful Jewish ceremony held under a chuppah adorned with gorgeous floral arrangements and hanging candles.  We were so honored to first be there to witness the signing of the ketubah, the official marriage contract, and to film it for Cindy and Brian’s wedding video.  Cindy and Brian exchanged their traditional vows, were pronounced ‘husband and wife’ and friends and family cheered as Brian stomped on the glass!

After the ceremony concluded, the guests and guests of honor continued on to the reception in the Skylight Ballroom.  This beautiful room features a 40-foot glass dome ceiling, floor to ceiling windows and a sparkling marble dance floor.  Look at those amazing floral centerpieces by Michael Bruce Florist! They were overflowing with fresh florals in the wedding theme colors!

Everyone had such a wonderful time dancing the night away at the reception!  EBE Entertainment’s Imagine’s pop, rock, R&B and club music catered to everyone’s tastes and style!  They really rocked the house!  Friends and family celebrated by dancing the Hora, raising Cindy and Brian in their chairs to honor them.  The reception also included the Mezinke crowing ceremony to honor the parents who are seeing their last child be married.  It was an evening filled with tradition and celebration!

Towards the end of the evening's festivities, Cindy and Brian cut their cake, a beautiful and scrumptious 4-tier dessert made by The Merion.  We loved seeing Cindy have fun smashing Brian's piece on his face!  It’s awesome to see the newlyweds relax and ‘let their hair down’ during their wedding event!

Dan truly enjoyed filming this terrific wedding event and we absolutely loved working with Cindy, Brian and their families.  Congratulations to such a phenomenal couple! We wish Cindy and Brian a lifetime filled with love and laughter!

Erica + Greg

We just loved Greg’s proposal to Erica, even though it didn’t go exactly as planned.  While celebrating their anniversary in Bermuda, Greg planned to propose during dessert at a wonderful restaurant.  Since Greg was certain Erica would order the chocolate soufflé, he asked the waiter to state they were out, but would bring something else equally fantastic from the kitchen.  Well, Erica decided to order ice cream instead!  Greg ordered the soufflé to keep to most of the plan, the waiter let him know they were out of that and brought out the ring with two glasses of champagne.  Erica screamed and cried before saying, ‘yes’!  They celebrated for the next few days in the beautiful island setting.

Erica and Greg’s gorgeous wedding took place at the beginning of summer.  They prepared for their day at the Hilton Short Hills, where later they would be returning to celebrate their reception.  Erica’s beautiful strapless wedding gown had a trumpet silhouette, a sparkling belt and a gorgeous lace overlay.  She was such a stunning bride!   We love her bridesmaids’ matching bright teal knee length dresses and wonder if this color and style choice was done to evoke the Bermuda island feel?  They were absolutely beautiful.  And Greg was certainly a sharp dressed man in his black suit and tie.

Erica and her bridesmaids had the most exquisite flower bouquets from Warren Country Events.  Erica’s bouquet was mainly white, with subtle hints of color, while her bridesmaids carried bright blooms in purples, blues and white.  They were absolutely sumptuous!

Their ceremony took place at St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Summit, NJ.  It was a traditional Catholic ceremony with beautiful sentiments.  The two were encouraged to realize that mistakes, challenges and those bumps along the road are natural, for these are what allow for growth and make love more authentic, real and true.

After their ceremony, formal photos were taken by our good friend and photographer extraordinaire, Drew Noel.  Unfortunately, it was raining so the photo shoot was strictly indoors, but the photos weren’t any less amazing!  And it was fun to watch the wedding party having so much fun, even before the reception kicked off!

Speaking of the reception, it was a total blast!  The grand ballroom at the Hilton Short Hills was so beautifully decorated in platinum with accents of teal and darker blue.  And Ariel, from Ariel Music and Events, certainly rocked the house that evening!  The wedding guests had an awesome time dancing late into the evening!

It was such a joy to share in the celebration of the love shared by Erica and Greg.  Congratulations to a wonderful couple!

Jessica + Zack

Jessica and Zack clicked right from the start.  The two have so much in common - so many of the same interests and passions.  One of their loves is the beach.  In fact, every vacation that they take together, they try to squeeze in some beach time!

The proposal just had to have a connection to the beach as well.  Zack proposed during a fabulous trip to the Caribbean.  The two made a last minute decision to vacation with her sister and her husband on St. John.  Before the other couple arrived to the island, they decided to drive to one of their favorite beaches.  But Zack passed the entrance, telling Jessica he wanted to take some photos first at a famed lookout spot, Peace Hill.  When they reached the lookout location, Jessica turned around to find Zack on one bended knee, asking for her hand in marriage.  Her sister and her husband were so happy to arrive later to celebrate, along with a surprise, her parents as well!  What a beautiful place to be celebrating an exciting new beginning!

Jessica and Zack prepared for their special day at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia.  Aleksandra and Jennifer from Aleksandra Ambrozy Makeup & Hair did a fabulous job getting everyone dolled up for the big day!  Jessica and Zack were sure to take some time out afterwards to exchange beautifully written cards.  Before heading to the ceremony location, they shared a touching first look at the 18th Century Garden at Independence National Historical Park.  It was clear to see just how excited they were to finally see each other!

Jessica’s wedding gown was a gorgeous strapless satin gown with a trumpet silhouette and beautiful beading on the bodice.  She was such a stunning bride!  Her bridesmaids wore matching gowns with a sheer, flowing design, perfect for an early summer day.  Each held a delicate white bouquet of roses from Petals Lane.  Zack and his groomsmen looked so sharp in their matching black tuxedos with coordinating white rose boutonnieres.

Their beautiful ceremony took place at the historic house museum, Powel House, in Philadelphia.  The two were wed in the lovely period garden under a magnificent, white floral covered arch created by Petals Lane.  Although rain was in the area, we were so happy that it held off for this wonderful outdoor ceremony!

Then it was time to celebrate at Cescaphe’s Tendenza! We love the chic, glamorous atmosphere at Tendenza, with its amazing crystal chandeliers, exposed brick walls, stainless steel columns and violet uplighting.  Check out that amazing cake from Cescaphe.  It was half covered in glitter, which coordinated wonderfully with their modern, glitz and glamour theme.

Christina Hill from Chill Weddings did an awesome job organizing and helping to create the perfect wedding event for Jessica and Zack.  For the evening’s entertainment, the Janis Nowlan Band wowed the guests and kept the energy soaring high all evening! Jessica and Zack and all their family and friends definitely had the time of their lives!

Congratulations to Jessica and Zack!
